I'd be unhappy if either were the case, because they're just not true!

First, there are old world wines available just about anywhere, including lots of grocery and liquor stores. Maybe not convenience stores or gas stations, but I'd be a little worried about you if you were buying wine in those places (though I do know of an exception).

Sure, there are some obstacles to getting started with Old World wines, but you have to take some inititative! Do a little further reading about them, learn to read the labels, take a chance! Only you can change your wine drinking habits and with just the tiniest bit of effort. If you do, the rewards are multitude. If you don't try to change things around, get out of your safety zone, shake things up, you only have yourself to blame.

Besides - who can complain about being in a situation where you have to drink more?Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00286974342819945060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25357921.post-28316662733929886592007-05-16T10:41:00.000-05:002007-05-16T10:41:00.000-05:00Please make some suggestions for good, affordable ...Please make some suggestions for good, affordable old world wines.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25357921.post-11335903530913772412007-05-16T10:03:00.000-05:002007-05-16T10:03:00.000-05:00The real reason we don't drink more old world wine...The real reason we don't drink more old world wines is that they are not as easily accessible as new world ones. They don't have too many at the Mobil station on the corner or grocery stores besides Central Market. Also, I can't understand the labels written in whatever language. I don't want to buy the "Boones Farm" equivilent of French wine. Maybe they're all good, but sometimes we do want to play it safe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
